Scoring for Weapons and Forms:
5 to 9 points including ½ points for beginner and intermediate, 7 to 10 for advanced and Black belt divisions. Ties eliminated by dropping the high score. If a tie still exists, turn competitors around a show of hands will determine the winner.
1st 3 competitors will be viewed before scoring.
Point Sparring will follow forms in the same ring unless announced otherwise. (Except Adult Black Belt Divisions)
Point sparring rules:
1. All competitors MUST wear protective foam dipped head, hand and foot gear and a mouthpiece. All males MUST should wear a groin protector cup.
2. 3 point win, single elimination sparring. Bye system will be used.
3. Disrespect of any kind will result in immediate disqualification.
4. NO facial contact in any division. Head judge or majority may call contact. Light contact to headgear only. No points to back of body or head. All techniques must be controlled.
5. Drawing of blood – disqualification NO EXCEPTIONS.
6. Sweeps of non-supporting leg and grabs are legal if immediately followed by a technique.
7. Excessive contact calls: 1-warning, 2-point to opponent, 3-disqualified.
Skill Level for all events:
Beginner- Less than 1 year experience- white, yellow, orange
Intermediate- More than 1 year- green, purple, blue
Advanced- More than 2 years- brown, red
